The Cost Engineer, after a deep knowledge gained in engineering division.
Department adding knowledge and competitiveness in cost preparation, setup an efficient cost estimation workflow
with specific techniques based on historical data, similarities plants, prices received from market investigation and
purchase orders.
The resource will (i) manage the cost activities based on schedule assigned and Client requirement; (ii) perform
deep data analysis of quantity take offs; (iii) continuous scout of material supplier and market trend; (iv) manage the
Procurement/commercial strategy definition supporting the tendering and commercial team.
Assist the Cost Estimator and the Proposal Manager in the bid cost definition
Participate to procurement and commercial strategy definition and identify the critical activities and
materials to be estimated on vendor quotations basis for the correct definition of the MR strategy for the proposal.
Pricing of Material Take off produced by ENG. Dept.
For activities or materials to be estimated on vendor quotation basis, verify vendors' offer, prepare the
commercial bid evaluation based on Technical evaluation done by ENG. Dept. and finalize the cost
estimate
For activities or materials to be estimated in-house, liaise with procurement and engineering to prepare the correct in-house quotation
Maintain internal cost database updated with market prices
Ensure the assessment of material cost of all projects base on schedule assigned
Attend internal and JV cost review meeting
Analyse the project technical documents and the vendor quotation in order to select the best price to be included in the bid cost estimate
Very fluent in English (written and spoken)
At least 5 years as Engineering background
Familiar with the main technical and execution aspects of industrial plants
Willingness to be involved in the new themes and opportunities related to circular economy, energy
transition and sustainable business
Willingness to get involved in a challenging and new environment
Adequate soft skills
Priority to protected categories of employees as per 68/1999 Italian Law.
